Prior to teaching, I led environmentally-focused summer camp programs for young children in Maryland and Minnesota, and provided childcare for typically-developing children and those with special needs beginning when I was 12-years-old. I also grew up under the guidance of my brilliant mother Pat, who was herself a parent educator in the Twin Cities for 25 years. Between my own professional life and her influence, it feels like founding Mighty Oaks was my destiny.
When not on the job, I’m usually out walking along Mississippi River with my husband, sitting with embroidery, listening to public radio, or thrifting for vintage treasures.
